Looking at the history of WinCE, it appears that WinCE5.0 and WM5 are at least close cousins, if not clones of one another.

In a practical sense, is it fair to assume that a device that runs under WinCE5.0 would be capable of running most WM5 programs unmodified?
(subject to hardware limitations)

Thanks, Don

Windows Mobile 5 (and 6) is built on top of the CE 5.0 core. (Think of them as CE 5.0 wearing a silly costume. ) I would assume, though, that many WM 5/6 apps may require additional DLLs not included in the core OS.
