| Nice and a big thanks to Geared2003 (and to Daniel Schumann)
I've installed GShell on my PNA ViaMichelin X950 (WinCE 4.2) with some adaptations and it is fabulous.
Programming of the ini's is very easy even for a newbee.
Just a few questions
- in [GLOBALSETTINGS] what is the use of the parameter "ShowMessage"
- what is the difference between SI.exe and the original SystemInformation 1.6

| SI.exe and SystemInformation are the same. I just shortened the name, which is quite confusing: "System Information" is a very strange name for this app...
"ShowMessage" just shows a copyright information when you close the program: quite useless actually...
BTW, I am finishing my new GSHELL package, which is a major update. It is not only based on SystemInformation, but has many extras like a system skin changer, user selectable icon sets and a fully skinned taskbar.

| press Free, then you have to wait until it counts down to 0 sec, then enter the captcha letters, then it gives you the download link. |

| I've just installed the Gshell (desktop version), on my Jornada 728 (CE 3.0) and soft-reseted as instructed. But when it finished reseting i get a blank screen (startbar with time visible) with no icons except a hour glass in the middle. I assumed it meant it was loading but after waiting awhile i pressed start and now a startbox is frozen in place (just the image of the box). My jornada runs fine (besides teh shell not loading as its supose to), and leaving ...post-images on the desktop. help? |

| I am afraid that this is not compatible with CE 3 / HPC2000, sorry...
As I no longer own a Jornada, I cannot test it myself. |

| Not quite a replacement, but Geared2003 has put together an XP-like skin for the standard H/PC 2000 desktop.  |
