| For build 2....
I am thinking it would be good to include the following;
- Add the 5 second turn off to power button to completely turn off the unit (the ce 4.1 version had this)
- Add a backslash key to UK version (and maybe a £ sign to US as my grey unit has a US keyboard).
- Include some updated dll's like cmonex's 900c rom
- Sort wake-up for alarms
Lastly the sorted cpl file and using prismnds rather than built in driver seems to have made the smartbook totally stable but the RDP software still crashes the smartbook occasionally (and requires a hard re-set). So it would be nice to see if there is an updated or bug fixed version of the rdp client.

Yeah they are great aren't they...
Well so far I have gathered together all files and programs I want to use in the first build...
Extracted all the original files from the rom.
At the moment I am waiting for cmonex to get a few min spare to help me compress the files and we should almost be ready to rumble, at least for a version 1.
Any apps you would be particularly keen to see?

| Ok.... We made a start last night...
- Got the work I had done before which was an extracted rom with all the non required files deleted.
- Installed all the software I wanted to include and grabbed registry changes.
- Grabbed all the files that the cabs installed.
Hope to pick it up again tonight when I guess the next step is to include all the new files into the extracted rom, compress everything and build rom. Then hope I don't brick the smartbook.
Will keep posted.

| hehe, I got a black smartbook now if anyone wants to know

It may need to go but, at moment, it won't be because I am in trouble. Just that I am needing to raise money for something else.
Hope I can keep it but will have to see (need to get round to changing the cells first ).

| No FAQ just a free memory fix to make it stable and link should be on this thread.
Nothing was done beyond version 1 but it makes smartbook from regular crash to very stable |

There is a link in this thread to a patched rom and there should be instructions on this thread and maybe in readme with rom that tells you how to flash it.
