If you are getting stung with log-on problems at the moment, it is because I am modifying the board kernel with some more anti-spam measures.

This one is no secret though, we're going to start email verification for registration, and probably all existing users.

So please ensure that you have a valid email address in your profile! Otherwise you will have problems.

There will be more of the same outages tomorrow, for better or worse I am modding it directly on the main server as I have no staging server running with a current version of this board because I cannot get to the backup tapes (them being 4,500 miles away)

Is it enough to have a correct email address, or does it have to verified in some way.

Is there some hope that email notification may return soon?

Don, a working email address will be required to receive an email which will contain a link that you will be asked to click to confirm that you are who you say you are.

If email is not working for you, I am interested, but please bring it up in the bugs thread. Thanks.
