I have a Vista machine and NOW I find out that Vista does not play well with others. Can I load programs and drivers on a CF then run them on the Jornada 720.

Of course you can - assuming that you're talking about either CAB files (for on-device installation) or the application executables themselves (as opposed to desktop installer programs, which also have the .exe file extension). However, in the case of drivers, they should be installed or copied to RAM and executed from there. (Have I succeeded in confusing you yet? )

CE Geek: by "load" he meant copy from the PC to the card.. so drivers are no different in that respect.

I know that, cmonex. However, I was recommending that any driver files then be copied from the CF card to RAM (or if in CAB form, installed to RAM) so that they can be run from RAM.
