| Hi,
I try to to understand ... but well!
What wifi card will work with the z50 ? Looking for a pc card that is not too "protuberant" and that will work with ease..
Any idea, version.
Thanks

| The Agere-based cards that CAuser's been selling should work nicely. Dunno if he has any more, though. |

| Hi,
As far as I remember I used Aironet 350 and RoamAbout DS.

| Hey thanks. So one of those 3 cards will work without any issues (drivers ... ?)
I just would like to put it in and go online to upload files
By the way: anyone use a better browser than IE ?
Any input?
Thanks

| The Agere-based ones (the RoamAbout and CAuser's cards ) should work fine with the standard Agere driver:

The only alternative browser is WorldTalk, which is downloadable from cmonex' site:

| Hey,
Thanks to all.
I received a message from Causer, but i had alread ordered a linksys aironet 350 ... which is why I am posting again!
I loaded the drivers and installed the software. Everything seems to work fine (lights blinking to find a network )
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/wireless/airo_350/3...
But that is it. After a while, a message pops up telling me that the IP can not be made blabla.
Am I doing something wrong ? I used the 2.23 version from cisco directly (fro a MIPS with CE 2.11 ).
Do I have to enter manually a SSID ?
Or is there a better card (the one from Causer ? )
Let me know (I can trade if needed ? )

| I had problems with Aironet 342 (?) on MP900C and Skeye.pad SL. To download the driver from Cisco, I had to fill out a lengthy form and register. Finally, I sold all Aironet. No more Aironet for me. |

| haaaaa!
It is an aironet 350. Oh well! Was not expensive. Maybe for my 880 ?
Anyway, CAuser, will you cards work for sure on the z50 ? I just need to browse the net during some classes and send some of my typed doc by email (so i can avoid removing the CF every night, putting it back in ...)
Just need something that would show me the wifi around, and connect to something.
Sebastien

| I tested the card successfully on MP800 with CE 2.11, MIPS4000, 131MHz, and 32MB RAM. After comparing MP800 with Z50, you only see the difference in RAM amount.

| iBrowser is a prehistoric app that never really became more than a release candidate. It was orientated for the PsPC market, who lacked Pocket IE. |
