Hello everyone: I would like to take everyone back a FEW years (if you are older) to HP 95LX MY HINGES ON THE UNIT IS VERY LOOSE also the battery
display lLOW WHEN NEW BATTERIES ARE INSTALL!

I hope someone can remember how to correct the above problems.

Hi Bob,

Whip out a very small soldering iron...the battery-low warning can (not easily ) be repaired. It is a common problem on the 95LX's.

You would have to repair a condensator somewhere. (Maybe just removing it is enough though, if you only run on batteries).

Daniel's brilliant site will also explain everything else about 95LX, 100LX, 200LX and 700LX's.(We are friendly competitors on the 200LX handheld area, last remaining hideouts together with Thaddeus..)

Did you (ever) oil the hinges? Cleaning them with a bit of alcohol will restore the tightness in that case.
If you ever put in WD45 - start praying, the hinges may have dissolved a bit.
