Yeah, I was wondering if you were hoping that the world will end or hoping that the world will not end?...Or hoping that they quit making bad movies like 2012?...

Oh...I have it on a very good authority it all ends in a couple of years. But that's okay, as I'm going to be rescued earlier than the incident and taken away with a very select bunch of others to continue the species.... The new paradise world sounds wonderful!

I've decided to share with you Rich the fact that you're wrong about 2012.

I can tell you the exact date, even the exact moment when the world will end

Tue, 19 Jan 2038 at 03:14:08 GMT

It's simple maths.

"2012" pha.

((2^32 / 2) - 1) = 2147483647 bit values or if substituted for seconds, 2147483647 seconds.

The time epoch being of 00:00 1 Jan 1970 or 0 seconds. Add 2147483647 and we get to Tue, 19 Jan 2038 at 03:14:07 GMT. At Tue, 19 Jan 2038 at 03:14:08 GMT the 32-bit storage used to compute computer time will expire as it attempts to over fill the available register causing a "real" Y2K problem, thus ending the world.

Of course this theory assumes we still use 32-bit computers in 2038 and that the epoch isn't shifted to 64-bit or the epoch moment reset... but we can ignore that quite happily in the knowledge that I'm absolutely confident that it is irrelevant and that the world will end.

If you want to escape I know these great alien guys who will save only those who posess the 'gift'. If you want to learn the gift and be saved you need to give me all your money from now until 2038 and meet me in a field at midnight 19th Jan 2038 when I shall bestow the secret to my bretheren and we shall be taken aboard the alien ship and watch the world end from accross the stars.

Nice C:Amie, now I want to screw around with my avatar/signature.

Could you give me the dimensions for signatures? I had them in my PM's but I can't find it.

It's point #12 in the forum rules if anyone is interested.

A reminder to all: colour bars that are wider than point #12 are for STAFF ONLY.

Damn yanks stealing and genericising OUR flag colours *mumbles*. Wasn't doing the same to our language enough for you!?!

It is an overlay of the central, lower right corner of the Union flag - and by that I don't mean the opposite of the confederacy flag
