@C:Amie,
Ah... I used to like SF a lot, and I still do but haven't watched enough new ones recently.
I didn't know Quantum Leap had continuation. Thought it was the first season, lol.
I recently watched the movie Arrival part way, but it wasn't very exciting. I get confused with other similar ones. haha
That rather proves my point, the trailer gives you zero clue that this is supposed to be series 6!!
Ah yes, I remember Arrival. A rather odd film, rather contrived. Reminded me of Contact. |

Indeed it proves your point on the Quantum Leap! Edited by stingraze 2022-09-19 1:59 PM

| Been watching an Epix miniseries, "War of the Worlds." Really good. Nothing like others with the same title. |

| @Rich Hawley, I agree. Series 1 and 2 were good. I haven't started 3 yet. I was surprised that it came back for series 3 though, I thought it was all wrapped up.

| I just started Roswell New Mexico Season 4. I’m halfway through it. It is an addicting show and this season is a very solid improvement over the last.
I’m still not quite sure it’s better than the old 1999-2002 series. But it has its own charms in different ways.
Plus, Jeanine Mason is gorgeous (lead actress)

| That's strange they gave all of that away! Maybe to somehow increase viewership / yet spoil everyone?
I randomly found these videos today:
It imagines the TNG and DS9 intros as Nintendo 64 games
Edit: How do you embed YouTube as an inline player? I can't figure it out |

| I hear that the team who produced the expanse have been given control of Star Gate by Amazon now that they have completed the MGM purchase. Brad Wright got dropped from the project a few weeks back. Apparently he wasn't thinking "big" enough.
@stingraze, that trailer was long-winded at getting to the point
It's basically Terra Nova with less people |

Yep...
I never watched Terra Nova btw. Looks like it is indeed similar. |

| Last night, I watched an episode of Star Trek Voyager Season 4 - Mortal Coil.
I never thought I'd watch an episode of Voyager that makes me feel emotional, but it was such a great episode!
The messages in the episode are very thought provoking, and it holds up to this day.
Basically Neelix dies but 18 hours later, Seven brings him back to life with Borg probes. However, during the time he was "Dead", he didn't see the Talaxian version of the afterlife, thus creating an existential crisis, and culminating in a suicide attempt by Neelix |

| I haven't seen Voyager since its production run ended in 2002. I think I've been psychologically avoiding it because I have a memory about from being a kid that I don't want shattered by adult cynicism.
I have re-watched TNG and DS9 though. |
