| My university has just upgraded its wireless to the g standard which means my nec 880 is no longer very useful here.
A moment of silence please....
How much do you think it is worth if I sell it? Last October I bought 2 new batteries for it, have a 4 gb cf card and also a cf wireless. Will I get more $ if I sell things separately or together?
Any ideas will be appreciated.

| They elected for 'G' only? Not B/G? Ouch!
Sadly, breaking the batteries apart will probably lead to higher profit.

| I agree, sell the components seperately. They can be used in other devices.
Then after everything is sold, take the 880 apart, sell the case. Keep only the keyboard and the a/c adapter and turn the rest of it into a very nice electronic picture frame.

| Time to upgrade to a CE 4 (or later ) device. | |
| |
| Why isn't it still useful? I mean, I would assume you could still connect just slower right?

| Not if only 802.11g connection is available - it's a separate protocol entirely. | |
| |
| It was my understanding that all 802.11N devices that are wifi certified will allow B/G connections - unless it was specifically turned off, which I can't imagine why they would want to.
Maybe university equipment is different though.

| you dont think in one distro for your nec i dont know but maybe exist one for your little miracle jejeje
