| Hi, My friend gave me a Chicago 6000 made by Route 66, however, he told me he had some issues with it and it did not work. When I turn it on, it goes directly to a blue screen first showing the line 400F_PVT_UT_R05_1005 64MB with 4 options. I have managed to obtain the Chicago updater software & device driver that links to the device via USB to my PC but I'm not sure what to do next. I guess I need an image to put onto the device? where would I obtain such an image. Also do I use the WINCE or UBOOT option in the menu to perform this procedure. I'm sorry if its a lot of questions but if somebody could help me or point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful. Regards.......... Paul | |

| Probs best to use WinCE option and connect device to PC via activesync to run the software update.

| Hi John,
Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by activesync. Is that software that usually comes with this device as I don't have it. The only software I have for updating the device is DNW for WinCE. I have options to transmit what I assume to be images but it asks me for a bin or nbo file that I do not have.... any suggestions appreciated....... Paul | |
