I have an fex21 (win ce 2.11) with an cisco aironet 340 card.

I would like to access the internet in hotels etc. with wifi access.
I have installed the software and card ok.Now I need to input the settings
IP ADDRESS, SUBNET MASK< DEFAULT GATEWAY, PRIMARY AND SECONDARY DNS

What do I enter ? My home computer is on Tiscali broadband but NOT wireless.
I am new to wifi. ;

Normally when you go to an open wifi hotspot, those items will be found and input automatically. You do not have to input them. Give it a try somewhere....

It's probably only trying to find them now because you are not near any wifi signal, hence it is prompting you to input them manually.

You have to check the selection in the Network window to enable DHCP to allow this automatic search.

A major flaw in the Aironet 340 CE drivers is that they do not let the user scan for SSID's.

Assuming you know the SSID, In the Network Control Panel you should set the adaptor to "Automatically obtain an IP address"
