128-bit SSL update on MP780

I've installed the 128-bit update on my MP780, but PIE still reports "Unable to establish secure connection" after trying to access gmail or any other HTTPS connection. I'm pretty sure it installed it properly since it asked me to overwrite schannel.dll during the CAB installation. I even tried the SSL update from NEC for the 780 (which consists only of an schannel.dll file of a different size for some reason), but that one doesn't seem to work either. NEC's SSL update doesn't make the errors pop up however. I have tried soft-resetting after installation of either SSL update to no avail.

Has anyone else had this problem?
