| Hi,
I have an LG LN790 GPS Unit that im just about to give up on. It has destinator 5 or 6 which is pretty ancients and the most up to date maps are q2 2006...i started about two weeks ago trying to unlock with no success so far...
the good old replace your EXE with an unlock app or other software to boot it doesnt work...
I have a 6 page thread over at GPSUnderground where BrianQ103 and I tried various ways of unlocking this unit! We are running out of ideas and I would like to know if anyone around here would be able to give us a hand!
thank you very much

| connect it to activesync...
browse the device and tell me if you can find a PNAshell.exe file anywhere. look for it first on a "flash disk\shell" or similar path.
If you can find said PNAshell let me know (and PM me your email address.)
Cheers

| There is no PNAShell.exe
i cant connect to VIA Active sync either(not availble on this unit)...only USB going to MASS STORAGE...im pretty sure theres a hidden partition somewhere on the device, cause i cant seem to find COREDLL.dll which is what says it is missing when i run LGENavi.exe throught executabitlity check |
| There is a shellfile.txt but its empty... this gps is DRIVING me nuts |
| There is a copy of the install cd of my gps in the thread i stated above on page 4 or 5...
if only there was a program that could *unhide* the content on the gps that i cant see i could easily modify the files...
or modify that LGENavi.exe to call asomething else! |

| Something i just realized through an PEExplorer is that LGENavi.exe is described as R4000...mips??? might that be why im unable to start any other exe'S??? |

Well yeah... If it is a mips processor none of the tools designed for arm wil work.

| Lets says that it IS a MIPS processor, are there any tools that are written in a mips code??
is there any actual GPS software that is MIPS? Is it possible to convert arm code to mips?! |

| Not that we don't read your posts bottleb, but there is little or nothing for MIPS GPS support....and R4000 is definitely MIPS. |

| Damn, so i guess ill have to stick with my version of destinator 6 for mips then |
| I found a version of sygic drive for win ce that is for mips...however, when i try to run it, i still get message,
drive.exe is not a valid windows ce application
if checked the drive.exe with PE Explorer and its says R4000 as machine type, same as my version of destinator that works on my gps!!!
HElp!!!! What could be causing the fact that sygic aint running? |
