Noification of downtime: 15/05/2009 - 19/05/2009

Insurgent has let me know of a systems update plan for the server which hosts our SQL Server databases.

The upgrade will move the base operating system from Windows Server 2000 to Windows Server 2008, which will bring some advantages to higher level virtualised platforms on which we currently take database functionality.

Maintenance will be performed between Friday 5th May (today) and Tuesday 19th May, during which we expect a minimum of disruption to services. All being well, there will be no perceivable disruption to the main site during this time, and limited disruption to the forums.
