SoftMaker is offering a great deal on its three Office 2008 applications for Windows Mobile (TextMaker, PlanMaker, and SoftMaker Presentations): 9.95 USD/EUR each, or the three together for 24.95 USD/EUR:

Though written for Windows Mobile, experience has shown that these applications can work with our H/PCs with a few DLL files added. So if people here want to give these a shot on their CE devices, looks like now's the best time.

This price is good until that day - 11/11/09. (Wonder what they'll do two years from now. )

What DLL are needed? I've tried TextMaker 2008 on my Jornada 720 + RedGear 1.0: program starts, shows intro and ends. Have you some suggestions?

Apparently none at all for some devices:

Too bad that RedGear can't overcome its compatibility issues, since it's written for CE 4.2 .net or higher. (I was thinking of these newer devices when I made my first post in this thread. )

Funny thing is that the demo downloaded from Softmaker runs fine under Redgear but the full version doesn't.
