I recently installed the CE 6.0 PB evaluation version as well as CE 6.0 PB SP1, R2 (the problem occurred before R2 also), and the 12/31/2008 rollup for R2.

I don't know how many here are using CE 6.0 PB, let alone how many are having this issue, but I've been getting the following error when creating a new OS project (in VS2005): "The name or path that you have entered contains the invalid character ''. To continue, remove the invalid character(s)." The thing is, I haven't changed the name or location of the new OS design project and the project location is a valid path.

Googling this error only results in (actually) one hit, and it's on a chinese site where the solution to the problem was not posted.

Anyone have any ideas?

Could you take a screenshot of a project creation dialog?

I found the problem.... (and this issue is even mentioned in some release notes I found online) you can't have a PB project in a path with a space in it. Wow, really MS?
