Easy project, meaby?

I have been thinking, about if we could hack WinCE 4.2 Messenger to work on Jornada 7xx.

Is there anyone who has PB4.2 and is willing to do such service to users of Jornada?

I think i could even give donation via paypal due to working one.

And I know i mov and ms portrait, but they are so... clumsy.

Have you tried the CE 4.2 messenger client from cmonex's site with some of the dummy DLLs from the same page?

Yeah, i used Executability Check from that page to check the main exe and used 4.2 coredll, but it still gave me missing component error. I believe that hexediting is requiried in order to get it working.

It might be too much of a stretch to get it working that way. I don't think I ever got any CE 4.x .net coredlls to get anything working on my 728. How about trying RedGear, though?

Yeah, PPC 2003 Messenger + RedGear? Does anyone have link for PPC Messenger?

Why not try it with the 4.2 version? Couldn't hurt, could it?

I already tried it, but still threw me same error. Using Executability Check from hpcmonex i think it might be because of just coredll. If we could hack it some way to work with 3.0 native one.
This is proably far shot, but if we had both 4.2 and 3.0 PB, can we compile 4.2 messenger to use 3.0 stuff right from source?

I now tried adding 4.2 zlib.dll + RedGear, and it launches, but throws error 0xc0000005 on address 00000000...

Ah, finally! Using 4.2 Messenger, zlib.dll and ws2.dll from cmonex site, it begins to run, but doesnt show any window and process ends.

Now we just have to figure how to get it show Messenger dialog...
