to turn off the machine directly, will cause a certain degree of damaage. ?

looking st the kind of broken english it seems they are referring to software problems when you do not shutdown the normal way, via softwre.
So I guess this unit does not have instant-on?
If you werre to use the on/off "button" to shut the unit off you would have to reboot to get it back up?

Dana -on my minibook the instructions say to use start-shut down or the power button interchangeably.

Seems that for your unit, there is no adjustments to be made if you just ue the power on/off button,
so I'd like to know, what happens on your unit when you do that?
Does your unit go through a reboot, or, does it light up right where you left it (i.e. it has instant-on?)

The TinyBook doesn't. (That's the only downside of that device.)

Surely. XJD-EPC102 is the only known clone of TinyBook and is not produced any more. It has 128 MB of RAM and only 64 MB are usable. It has quite generic body and no built-in camera.
