It's an app for viewing moon phases and related info. Even cooler than Jonathan Sachs' Ephemeris. It's freeware, and requires .NET Compact Framework 3.5. Get it here:

Here's a screenshot from my ViewSonic V212. Doesn't fit the screen perfectly, I know - but it still looks pretty cool. Should look really cool in 90-degree rotation.

No rotation on the V212 that I can find, I'm afraid. I was referring to CE 5 and higher (ie, supporting .NET CF 3.5) devices that support display rotation.

How have you tried to rotate screen? Have you tried PHM PowerKeys? There is an app for rotating.

I've never seen such a thing in any of Philippe Majerus' programs. Do you have a link?

CE 4.2 supports NETCF 3.5 as well, you know.

And you should show this to the author. Maybe he will make it les hardcoded in future versions. Or heck, not lie about it being for WM5 only.

Good points. I couldn't find any references to Windows CE 4.2 .net as a compatible OS version (though Microsoft does mention Windows Mobile 2003 and "Windows CE .NET 5.0" ), so I wasn't sure. (I still haven't successfully installed .NET CF 2.0 on a CE 4.1 .net device.)

That site - and all the other download sites I've tried - redirects to the PHM site, which is now closed. (I can bring up the PHM site through archive.org, but the download links don't work.)

I have found a display rotation applet in the MioPocket pack, but it doesn't work on many devices. It does work on the V212, however, as well as my Konaki Netbook Wonder (though using the touch pad is weird then because moving the finger along the touch pad toward the keyboard still moves the cursor toward the upper part of the image on the screen, meaning that cursor movements are 90 degrees from the finger movements). Here's a screenshot from the latter:
