One of the guys from US got his IPAQ 310 semi-bricked by some strange
event, I had similar issue with my 4GB SD card, all the files and folders
got strange characters in names, file sizes are crazy too, they are 2, 3, 4
and even 6GB in size on 2GB ResidentFlash, you can see it when you
connect it to PC via active sync, unit doesn't respond, you can here the clicks,
when you touch the screen, that's all.
He did try to reload rom, it completed 100%, but it just seats on the start-up
screen HP INVENT, I asked him to try to load rom from 314 series, no results yet.
Has anybody, here any idea how to deal with this problem.

The SD card I think would be pretty easy to fix...just do a low-level format on it to wipe it all clean. The GPS unit however is another thing entirely. If the desktop computer recognized it as a storage device, then maybe you could do the same...who knows, but I doubt it.

Thanks Rich,
it might be an idea, I'll suggest it to him.
My SD card was corrupted a few times I loaded files
using active sync but never happened to any flash.
