After many years of great service (and with the help of some the great folks here on this site). I am sadly parting with my Futurecom Global Neta 980. (The Neta 980 is a Web Tablet CE.Net 4.1. It is almost exactly the same as the Viewsonic Airpanel 100)

please check this link for the details.

eBay Link

This unit is really in good condition:

* Battery holds a charge and lasts for 2+ hours of continuous use. (It is actually a Viewsonic Battery).
* Screen is bright and relatively free of scratches or blemishes
* Case is in decent shape with only a few small dings and scratches.
* No Cradle but includes link cable and charger
* (3) stylus
* Belkin Wireless 802.11B Card
* 512 MB CF Card with support stuff/drivers
* Original manual, leather wrap case.

The fine print

* Occasional charging issues (been a issue for a few years -- does seem to be getting any worse.
* The original Neta firmware is solid but has a number of quirks (Don't look at me I didn't write it

As indicated in the ad this is a US sale only. (After the auction has ended and if the unit isn't sold then I may sell outside the US.)

Neta 980 Lost its Owner.

I saw the eBay listing yesterday and said to myself, Gee, the seller sounds familiar. I already have Airpanels/ViewPads coming out of my ears, however. (Trust me, it's even less attractive than ear hair. )

I guess all I'll have left is the ear hair. I continue to downsize my collection in order to support my need for more stuff...

I decided to get an Axim x51v. It keeps me in the CE world and better meshes with my job needs.

I just got one of those on craigslist! So far impressed with it. All three of my neta had battery run down to zero and hence can not charge

That it does!

(I would much rather sell it to an enthusiast than have someone buy it that thinks it is a funny looking Windows XP laptop - or worse an IPad!)

I am going to ship it out Tuesday. USPS.

I hope that you enjoy adding it to your collection.

(I guess that I need to modify my signature profile.) I am waiting for a Axim x51v, I'll add that to my new collection.)
