Is there a way to view the hidden system drive partition on these generic Chinese netbooks? I want to play with different operating systems but before I do that I want to see what's there and back up some of the files. Would also like to try to make a CE6 R3 image and put on there, but want to be able to see and verify what works and not. Thanks all.

If ypu want to edit system files accessing secret partition isn't what you need. System files reside in image written on the starter region of flash memory and you won't be able to access it until you have a bootloader supporting flashing and backupping or you you can make use of JTAG.

Any such bootloaders downloadable for the netbook?
How closely are they CPU-specific?
For instance, would such a bootloader for Arm VT8505 work as well on WM8505?
Also, do you know how to use JTAG on a netbook?
(As yet I've only reard about it used on a Linksys router)
