| Ah, it has a nice processor, Arm Cortex, 600mhz. (But since it is an Arm cortex, it'll feel like it's 1ghz)
The 8 hour battery is good too, and it'll probablly provide 12 hours with wifi off.
Yeah, I think for 200 dollars, it's a great deal.
Now, if only we can upgrade it to CE 7.

| Oooh, nice find, CE Geek. Have you tried running a flavor of Android? You can put it on a CD, then boot from it, even on a laptop. Probably a lot of hardware-specific things wouldn't work OOTB, but it would let you see the general idea.

What for? Many people haven't yet dealt with CE6! |

| I own the previous version of this, the A81, which doesn't have the additional Android buttons. It's an awesome machine (though it has it's bugs). I've been running much older Wince software and have never seen these old apps with so much speed. The Android is still in it's infancy and extremely buggy (I've had to pull the battery out many times to get-over the system freezes).
Another thing, this is not really a 'dual boot' no matter what they say. What it really is, is a device that you can load either system to. I've done it on my older version and the owners of the newest version confirm it's the same thing here. Be careful of what Chinese manufacturers state, it's not always what we think it is. |

| To pphillip (& others) from another newbie-
What's you current take on Android? And would you care to elaborate on that "dual boot" scheme? How would one load the 2 OSs, and then bring up one or the other? I recently bought a Wirelession (they're changing their name to something less goofy!) W1060--with Win CE--which is identical hardware-wise, it seems, to the latest W81. I'd be interested in the "dual boot" for that if such could be downloaded. Otherwise, Android if it's still not excessively buggy.

| It does look nice, but I think I'm holding out to see what comes out with Windows Embedded Compact 7. Nothing is certain though about my next Windows CE purchase...it might be another used early 2.11 device. Edited by Chuck E 2010-10-18 9:22 PM

| I saw that advertisement as well up here in Big Rapids...and Walgreens is only 3 blocks away....but I prefer a CE machine since I already have such a large collection of applications for CE.... |

| I showed this Walgreens ad to a guy at work and he said he is going to buy one. If he does, I will check it out. I went in to a Walgreens yesterday and they told me they only sell them online. |
