The cab file available on this site installed the application just fine on my Jornada 720. However, when I try to open the application, I get this message: 'Cannot find 'AcroRd32' (or one of its components).' How can I get round this problem?

You probably had another AYGShell stub installed, copy aygshell.dll from the cab into the reader folder in program files.

I tried that, copying the file 'AYGSHELL' (028 File, 7.50KB) into \Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 2.0\Reader and nothing has changed.

Did you change the file extension of aygshell.028 so that it becomes aygshell.dll, Paspie? (Using MSCEInf would've been easier since it does all that for you.)

I'll try those remedies tommorow.

Still, I would have liked the software to work out of the box without any adjustments.

Although this is an old thread:

Disabling RedGear also helps in this situation!
