| so i have 2.11 on a nec 770 and a wpc11 v3 wifi card.. i have AS3.8.. i am connected from DT to HPC just fine and can transfer files.. the Software installs but when i put the pccard both link and power light come on 5-10 sec, then go out and then it says
Unidentified PCCard Adapter
Enter the name of the driver for this PCCard
Driver Name: Unknown card in Socket 1 (this is where i must make it point to) i give it MFCCE211.dll but that is the only thing I can think of... It doesn't accept it really..
also in the programs menu, I try t5he WPC-11 Config Utility and I get
Unable to connect to the Wireless Network CF Card, please insert it...
Though I am not using compact flash, but the PCMCIA
In the Control panel i get the same message but when I click on WCF11 Config Utility, (why a different name?)
I am getting the right driver for CE from linksys and for the v3 card...
Is there a different driver i should load from the PC with, or a different file i should tell the HPC tro point to?
Thank you |

| When it asks for a driver name, try typing in prismnds. |

| MFCCE211 is part of the C++ runtime, not a driver |

| I stand corrected. You're using the Linksys version of the Prism 3.0 driver. Try typing in wpc11nds. Be advised, though, that so far no one I'm aware of has been able to get the 3.0 driver working in Windows CE 2.11. See this tutorial for more:

| Can't hurt to try it. The generic Prism driver is version 2.5, though. (Make sure you uninstall the Linksys driver first using Control Panel -> Remove Programs. ) |

| Hi C.E. Geek - I trust I am in the right forum now. I am currently trying to install the 2wire drivers on my Samsung Izzi Pro. it doeas take a while to transfer the files to the Izzi pro. I have already installed the card and named it Wlags, should the card be inserted before I use activesync to transfer the drivers or after? I've tried it both ways and it still crashed. I'm hoping wlags46 was the magic word... I also have a 3Com Airconnect 3CRWE737A-E1 11Mbps Wireless LAN card:- I saw drivers on HPC for a 3Com 3C589x Card, but I can't see that number on this card. I can follow instructions so may you are able to post 1 or 2 links I can follow for one or the other. I refuse to believer I was given an IZZI Pro with 2 compatible wireless cards that don't work. Do you think it's worth re-installing the 2.11 3.1 C.E. windows with your HP Pro SP1?? I know it's the same but maybe the seller accidentally cleared something vital off why the drivers won't install:- Ah WAIT!! It hasn't crashed yet - a screen has come up sayin [Install Agere Wireless Network dr...] "NAME: (install here) TYPE: (blank)" should I enter wlags46 here as well or Agere?? |

| No - it's installing the driver. Just tap OK to let it install the driver in the \Windows folder. |

| Thanks for replying quickly I hadn't pressed anything cheers - here goes... says installing now but this is the bit where it crashes usually. the progress bar doesn't even start to fill with one blue box. I did notice that is said space required on the HPC was 1,000+ and the space available was 7,000+ so how long should I leave it to try and install before I can accept it has crashed? I left it for nearly 2 hours yesterday....I'm sure it should take about 5 minutes max....I don't know why it always crashes here no mateer what I do!!!
