i start from the failure of reading more than 2gb from internal microsd card of my wince5.0 device.

http://www.hpcfactor.com/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=14769&po...

Ipost my device technical card (in italian)

fisrt i don't know if i connect to it an external card reader or i have to do something to the device(=kentron) first; then if it reads the 16gb microsd.
it's difficult to me cause i'm afraid of making an unreparable error.
Thamk you foryour kindness

Micro SD and Micro SDHC are different.

Most devices will read SD/MicroSD up to 2GB.

Many devices will not read SDHC or MicroSDHC

Look at your micro card again, I bet it says HC on it...which is not compatible with your device.

Card readers need hardware changes, firmware and drivers to read SDHC. If all three aren't available for the device, you can't make it read it. A USB SDHD reader may work if your device has a USB host.

C:Amie said it best...you have to have 1) compatible hardware, 2) the proper firmware, and 3) the drivers for your operating system. The post you mentioned will only work for some devices.

On my 900C, I can read, using a pcmcia -> SD adapter, or using a CF -> SD adapter, an SD card. I actually have a 4GB SD card that works (not micro SD). But I can't ready any SDHC cards at all using those adapters. I also have a USB SDHC adapter that I purchased at Wal-Mart for about $10 that will allow me to read my SDHC cards, up to 16GB through the USB port of my Mobilepro.

To make your SDHC card work, you would need a firmware upgrade for your ebook reader...probably only available from Kentron.

The USB SDHC adapter should work without a problem if at least one of the USB ports on the device reads mass storage devices (thumb drives, etc). From my experience the USB SDHC adapter will actually work all the way back to H/PC Pro (CE 2.11).
