| I'm using my 900c now so forgive my UTMFSE transgression. It's too slow/awkward on a hpc.
1. Opera 8.65 is expired. So, because of PIM setting back the clock isn't viable. What choices have I now? None?
2. I considered flashing back to hpc2k. If I do, is wpa encryption available?
3. Where are the scroll bars on remote desktop after connecting to a vista machine? The connection went fine, and I could click on what I could see but there was no way to scroll the screen.
4. The 900 uses 2 18650 cells? Any idea how long the 900 will run with wifi using new 3000mah cells? Are the cells an easy or tough rebuild?
5. can't think of any more now. have to see why my laptop quit.

| 2. No, see http://www.hpcfactor.com/support/cesd/h/0029.asp
3. Try installing the RDP update, I can't remember if that sorts it. If it doesn't install the CE 2.11 version. Both in the support section
4. Yes, never tried with 3000's. It's fairly destructive on the casing, otherwise I thought it was straightforward
5. lol |

| 1. Opera Mini 5 works nicely.
2. Nope
3. Beyond my experience
4. Easy rebuild, should increase your usage time by about 20% total. Say you get 3 hours now, you will get an extra half-hour more.
5. It was tired |

| I never was able to get one of my 900C's battery packs to hold a charge after I re-celled it with two fresh 18650s. |

| While we are on the subject of 900Cs I am having difficulty connecting to my WiFi network. I have the Orinoco Gold card and the network is WPA. The 900c will connect for about 5 seconds and then goes to the authenticating stages again. I can connect to the neighbors unprotected network fine but every time I try to connect to my WPA network it goes through the endless cycle. Any suggestions? |

| Yeah - don't use an Agere-based card. They don't support WPA. |

Well, what does? I have never dealt with WPA issues on any of my other HPCs none of them would work with it. Edited by Yoldering 2011-02-23 12:44 AM

| Prism-based cards do support WPA. Check CAuser's threads about "internal" WiFi cards working on the 900C for a few examples. |

I have a Prism based CF card I already tried. It is a d-link DCF-660W and I tried the d-link beta driver, and the generic Prism drivers. I could not connect to my WPA access point but had no trouble connecting to the neighbors unprotected network. Do you think it is because it is CF? It didn't even give me the option to choose WPA, only WEP. maybe I need PCMCIA instead? |

| I don't suppose anyone has ever dug around for any firmware updates to these Agere cards that enable the WPA hardware aspects have they? |
