Well, the one battery I have lasts about two hours - but I have five extra of these generic netbooks without batteries. I'd like to sell them, but that'd be kinda hard without the batteries.

I bought them as a lot for a decent price, and was hoping to find batteries for them afterward. (Not as much luck with the latter as I'd hoped. )

my battery only last for 45 mins
i tried turning the brightness down but it didnt make no difference
what else can i do ?

Thats odd. They mostly last about 2 hours. I would go through the charge it for 12 hours routine that you are supposed to do when you just got it.

There are some registry tweaks that will turn off some un-needed software that might make a small difference.

I have it setup so it doesn't dim the screen for about 5 minutes while on battery (the flickering was a nuance) but I also have the screen turned down to 50% using the brightness icon in the lower left corner.

If the 12 hour re-charge doesn't help try running it completely flat and then re-charging it for 12 hours. I know it isn't supposed to help an Ion battery but maybe it will.

If we can find a retailer to work with this company we can order new batteries for the Sylvania Netbook.

There are a couple of bulk sellers of these battery packs there. I e-mailed one several months ago asking for a referral to one or more of their resellers, but got no response.

The cells are almost certainly a standard size, so if you're comfortable with soldering, you should be able to buy individual cells from a supplier like Digikey, then assemble them into a pack to fit your device.
