i have two wifi cards (linksys wpc11 and netgear ma401) that are both prism based but i cant get either to work with reference drivers or any other combo on ce.net (4.1). after hunting arround for a bit on msdn i found some info on a driver (islp2nds.dll) that comes with ce.net 4.2 that these cards work under. does anyone have this driver (islp2nds.dll) or know if there are any installation packages for it?

i found out about it here (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/wcemain4/html/cmconwirelessfeaturesinwindowscenet.asp)

if anyone has any info on this please share!

so you tried the senao drivers (or 2.01.01.0135 from the cesd) didn't you?
i might have another CE4 driver somewhere. i'll look into this soon.
don't sell it too soon! i'm absolutely sure we can get them working on your device.
and maybe you can try the pretec CE4 driver too.
try the reference drivers after a hard reset as well.

ok, i haven't found the other CE4 driver (it's reported to work on ce.net 4.1 on the simpad with some prism card). i might have deleted it but i'll get it soon. though it is quite similar to the senao driver it's worth a try.

can you describe the process on how you do the install, exact error messages, etc.
does the card blink/light up at all?

i allready told you the error message i get... on the other thread...

my process has pretty much just to run the installer then reboot and put the card in and type in the driver. sometimes i just try and install the cabs. the cards both light up immediately after i plug them in but not after i type in the .dll's

yes, you already told it, but i hadn't check the other thread yet when i wrote you here sorry.
eh, then it is certain they're not the right drivers. i hope i'll get another driver for you today. that certainly runs on ce.net 4.1 and is a generic prism driver.

Hit asus.com and find drivers for the ASUS WL-110
The Islp2nds (InterSiL Prism 2) driver files should be in the installer.

If you get it working, please let me know.

C:Amie! thanks for finding that driver!!! my card now lights up however i dont have a config utility for it so im still not getting a connection. im sure there must be a simple solution for the config util.

edit:
i did a hard reset and now the light wont come back on but it doesnt ask for the driver name anymore... i guess hpc2000 might have to get flashed... i primarily use it for internet so i just wanted the most current browser.

the config app doesn't run because it might be a ppc/wm app. does it say anything about missing dlls or about some illegal operation?

wait with the reflash until i get the working CE4 driver for you

oh and if you don't care about security: hidden SSID and/or WEP, then you will not need the config app and your card will connect just fine

security is not a huge issue for me. i will be eternally greatfull to you if you get me a working driver.

as far as the driver C:Amie got me... it stopped asking me for the driver. now when i plug it in the light flickers once. and there is no configuration app just an empty folder named "ASUSTek Wireless Lan"
