Hi you all,
I stumbled upon this problem, I am going to have trip to Japan and hotels which I have to stay offer via cable internet. As I usually take with me Sigmarion III, how can I connect to a lan cable as it doesn`t have ethernet port?
Thanks

You can get a CF ethernet adapter such as the Socket LPE, Trendnet TE-CF100 or Pharos PE-CF100. I'm not 100% sure on compatibility with the SigIII's CPU though.

Hi Slycarter,

A couple of years ago I came accross this EOps miniSD TravelLAN card, you can find the specs at http://www.eopstech.com/eops/img/pdf/EOps%20miniSD%20Travel%20LAN%2...
It used to be available for ordering in HongKong, not any more and I never succeded to buy one. But you might find one in Japan since cable internet is so popular in the hotels over there.
Don't know if compatible with your Sigmarion III, but I guess that when it comes to the compatibility of the simple LAN cards things cannot be so difficult. But I might be wrong as well.
Best of luck.

Most Ethernet cards are NE2000 compatible, SocketComm LPE is one of those. It's guaranteed (I use it constantly) to work without any additional software.

I don't think there are any in the HCL, so if you decide to experiment, please do report your results.

if you have wifi setup on your sig3, just get a mini wifi router.

I got mine many years ago and it's the size of an ext hd. but linksys (cisco now) doesn't seem to make those anymore.

But for example here's a D-Link:

Not sure how much they are now, but hey there's always ebay
