I really don't want to be a wet blanket, but I'm still struggling to see what a poll will achieve here. It's not like a developer will think, "heyyy, hpcs look great, I'll go and buy a new one, after all 150 people want Mozilla on it!"
If someone puts up a pool of machines for interested developers to hack at, that might work better. Then again, it might not.
Minimo runs on a WinCE core now. I will make time to download the build tools and get testing this week, and report back, but I honestly think it's down to *us*, not anyone else, if we want to see this come into fruition.
Like someone else said it is up to us after all. But then it'll be an encouragement to see 200 people who wants Minimo ported.
I'm on a summer break now, and will be working hard on trying to figure things out. At least I'm hoping to make it run on Pocket PC 2000 and see if it will work on H/PC 2000.
I could try to make it compile against PPC2002 SDK, but the problem is that i can't install neither VS6 nor EVC3. it ends with an error when trying to execute "acmboot". i've tried to execute the said program by itself, and an error message pops out telling me that it has tried to access an invalid memory address and that it'll shut down. any ideas on these.
i've tried the following, based on specialized forums info:
1) re-downloading EVC
2) moving all the install dir to a lower level in the FS hierarchy
3) executing acmboot with special parameters.
I've been trying this since like 4 days ago, and still can't install it. any ideas?
