| Has anyone been able to get a real connection to a WPA encrypted network on their 900C? If so, what cards did you use? I would like to hear from first hand users or a list of cards that WILL work if possible. |

| I've always wondered about the Ambicom WL-54CF. It has CE.NET 4.2 drivers and it says in the product flyer it supports WPA2...but until someone tries it and tells me it works...I won't believe it. |

Well, for me it is pretty simple: Any of my Prism-2 cards work over my WPA/TKIP Wlan using the primnds driver. Zcom XI325, Asus CF WL110, and a few more.
And, yes, I have a large key:
******************************** ( 32 characters and quite unguesssable ), Works like a charm.
Excellent connections.

Any chance you can be explicit on 'a few more'? |

| Lucent/Agere/Orinoco cards (or those that use that driver) should also do WPA. |

You NEED to post that driver here or it isn't true.
Many of us have never seen a dialog box allowing wpa for any prism-2 chipset based driver.
Please post that driver now. |

| I am not going to post it as it is built-in in cmonex V2 rom. So no need there.
Works fine with WPA (Not WPA-2 though ).

| yes, I realized after it was too late to edit the driver is in rom.
so, how does one go about ripping the driver and using it on another 4.2 device? |

there are NO places to invoke wpa2 using the prismnds.dll file from the wcf12 driver package but WPA and WEP work fine with all my prism based wifi cards. |

| Make sure you have all the registry entries correct as well, especially if you install a new driver. There is more to it than just copying over the prismnds.dll file. Your registry should have entries like this:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\PCMCIA\Wireless-LAN_Adapter-5ABE]
"Dll"="NDIS.DLL"
"Prefix"="NDS"
"Miniport"="PRISM"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\PCMCIA\Wireless-LAN_Adapter-10FC]
"Dll"="NDIS.DLL"

"Miniport"="PRISM"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\PCMCIA\Wireless-LAN_Adapter-9081]
"Dll"="NDIS.DLL"
"Prefix"="NDS"
"Miniport"="PRISM"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\PCMCIA\INTERSIL-PRISM_2_5_PCMCIA_ADAPTER-F429]
"Dll"="NDIS.DLL"
"Prefix"="NDS"
"Miniport"="PRISM"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Cxport]
"NoIdleTimerReset"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\PRISM]
"DisplayName"="Wireless Driver"
"Group"="NDIS"
"ImagePath"="PRISMNDS.dll"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\PRISM\Linkage]
"Route"="PRISM1"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\PRISM1]

"PRISMIOC"="ILP1:"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\PRISM1\Parms]
"BusNumber"=dword:00000000
"BusType"=dword:00000008
"InterruptNumber"=dword:00000003
