mobilepro 700 and windows xp

I have a mobilepro 700 that I am trying to get working with windows xp and I keep having issues concerning RAS when I try to install the ce software.
Does anyone know if you can interface a mobilepro 700 with windows xp ? are there drivers or updated software that I need ? I know they were made for win 95 but I want to use it for field work and all I have now is xp.

Can anyone help ?

What active sync program do you have?

I do not know what the active sync is, how would I find out ?

I found it, active sync 3.8, just downloaded it and am going to install now.

I own a mobilepro 700 and am running ce 2.0, My pc is running win xp and office 97, I am trying to convert the excel and word files to ce so I can access them on my mobilepro.
I have set up all of the settings in active sync but when I try to copy them to the mobilepro they come up blank.
Does anybody know of an application that will allow me to covert the files before I move them to my mobilepro ?

Search for convert.exe in the download centre.

Even with the conversion, if you have graphics, don't expect them to convert...the pocket versions don't support them.

Rich is right. The conversion process, whether done online or offline, strips formatting not supported by Pocket Word and Pocket Excel.
