I was wondering if anyone has tried this?

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.6b4/releasenotes/

Binaries:

It allegedly works on CE 6, although I have not tried this myself.

I saw Linux and x86 and Mac builds...but no CE. Which one is supposed to run on CE6?

On the mozzilla page pull down the What's new in firefox 3.5 beta revision 4 section and read the first paragraph. That was why I posted that link. Mozilla pulled the binary files quickly, but they're on that SkyDrive.

any chance of it running on WinCE 4.1 device (like my Sig3)??!

I wish I could have firefox on my little baby... Jornada with linux and firefox was so fun! If wasn't for it's terrible screen and slow processor, I would still have it!

The sources appear superficially to be on that skydrive, so potentially it could be compiled up to it. We need to know why it isn't working with Rich first though.

wow... that makes me really excited! The only "down-point" of my almost-perfect Sig3 HPC is the lack of a good browser. Opera 8.65 no longer can render those newest websites correctly...
I hope we can make it works on CE6 and compile it to CE4 too =)

I'm not sure why it didn't work...it starts to load, that is it gets to the point you see in the picture...then it just stops and the window disappears...

The CPU in the bin is xscale...but there is a ton of Java built into the program it looks like, so that may be a factor for me...BTW, forget about running this on some of the older machines...some of the drivers this beta-build uses are near 14mb in size...and that is for just one of them...alas, one of the main ones that you can't live without...

It may be enough, but all the dlls in the package, if you look at them, are all calling CE6 subroutines, especially when it comes to direct screen writing....

It works on my WM8505 netbook - it just takes forever to open. And browsing seems a bit slower than in Opera Mini. But I really like the features, including the ability to go directly to a previously-viewed page rather than having to go back one page at a time (and not being able to navigate forward again to a later-viewed page). Looks more desktop-like, too, with the desktop-style menu bar. Definitely needs some more work, but it looks like it has a lot of potential. I hope they haven't abandoned the project.

I tried the armv4i on my Tinybook I think it gets a bit further than Rich. My screen goes away where his does then comes back like it starts over and gets to what would think is 95% then just sits there for about 10 minutes then goes way. No errors no messages.
I just extracted the files on to a usb thumb drive and ran the FIREFOX.exe. Should I do it differently??

Posting this using Firefox on my TinyBook. It opened faster than on the WM8505, but still runs a bit slow (though faster than on any other CE 6 device I have, including my ZT-180). (TinyBook screenshot below.)
