I've got a mobilepro 900 running with linux (day and night with ssh in my network).

I've installed the newest firmware upgrade from CMonex, but I don't use it.

This is perhaps a mistake.
I'm not so used to winCE. Because of this I thought till now that there were not so many usefull applications.

I would like to change to WINCE if there was:
- http-server
- ssh server&client
- shell
- database
- anything like perl/php/java

Are such things available in winCE? Is there a list of developer tools? (I've got lazarus for windows xp and can crosscompile for arm-win)

To be honest if you need those apps you're better off sticking with Linux and application compile capabilities.

- http, yes but limited
- ssh client, yes, server, not that I'm aware of
- the ce command prompt has few tools and has nothing on bash
- adoce and sql server for ce
- there used to be a perl parser, but it is going to be horribly out of date, there are some reduced functionality J2SE clones, but again very old (usually 1.2/1.3 based)

As for developer tools, visual studio 5 through 2010 depending on the ce version you want to target plus the necessary SDK ( http://www.hpcfactor.com/developer/ )

Thank you very very much for your very complete answer.

Without ssh server I am lost.

So I will stay with Linux.

But the work of CMonex on winCE is very impressive too!!
