Word processor allowing footnotes for Win CE 2.1, Jornada 800

Hi all,

Apologies for likely n00b question here!

I have just got hold of a Jornada 800 (presuming it's basically an 820?) and I'm looking to get a word processor for it that can handle footnotes. (Footnotes being an absolute must for the kind of work I do). I've looked into Softmaker but it seems that versions that will function with my Jornada's version of Windows CE are no longer available.

I don't suppose the forum could recommend a word processor that's just a little better than Pocket Word, compatible with the Jornada 800, win CE 2.1?
Or that someone could even suggest where I could get an earlier version of Softmaker?

Look for softmaker tentmaker 2006. I think it can do this. I think if you write them and ask, they will still sell it. You may have to fall back to tentmaker 2002. Been a while since I used 2002...

Isn't is still available on he used handhelds software cd?

TextMaker 2002 does support footnotes. Either 2002 or 2006 should work on the Jornada, and SoftMaker has sold the older versions if you request via e-mail. I'd opt for 2006 if the price is close, because 2006 has more functionality and will come with PlanMaker.
