http://melbourne.wireless.org.au/files/Misc/Senao/ (I think this is the url)

WLAN-WINCE-40.zip

WLANNDS for driver name when prompted.

Should work. Tell me if it doesn't.

Nope, it doesn't see the card. I guess it isn't Prism based.

The WL110 is Agere-based, as can be seen in the Hardware Compatibility List. (It's the WL100 that's Prism-based.) Try the Agere reference driver:

After examining the contents of the '7-82-881-WinCE400.zip', here's what I think you need to do.

1. In '7-82-881-WinCE400.zip', find 'wireless.ARMV4.CAB', 'wireless.ARMV4I.CAB', and 'wireless.ARMV4T.CAB', in 'Inflated.zip' (I don't know which one of the three you need as they are all labelled ARM).

2. Copy the three CAB files to your Sig, using ActiveSync or a memory card.

3. Run all three setup files from your Sig. One of them will work, but I'm not sure as I don't own a Sig.

4. Hopefully, your ready to surf! (obviously after finding your network)

The problem is the "new card" thing isn't popping up asking for the driver name. Is it because I had tried other drivers? When I do get it to come up, what would I put in???

We can't answer that until you get the software up. In the wireless utilities there is probably somewhere to stick your network name and WEP key in so you can get connected.

EDIT: Oh, I misread it the first time. Install the drivers, than insert the card afterwards.

I installed the drivers (newest one) and the lights on card flash and go off when I put it in. It will say driver not loaded when I try to run the Agere Client, and it won't detect the card at all.

Okay, I see my mistake. Not having heard of a "Clie" WiFi card, I assumed you meant the Compaq WL110, which is a PCMCIA card. (Repeat after me, CE Geek: the Sig 3 doesn't have a PCMCIA slot. ) A simple search of the Web set me straight: this is indeed the Sony Clie WL110 CF WiFi card - and while the Agere driver may work, the correct driver is supposed to be the Symbol driver. Try the driver here:

I will try those thanks. The bad thing is no PCMCIA slot means I can't use the Buffalo card I have.

Is it possible that trying the different driver combinations could conflict with each other..?

mikey pizano, are you in a position to hard reset and then perhaps try the driver install again?

(though this is assuming you've not been doing this already..)
