Last night i bought by husedhandhelds.com a Linksys wireless card. She works on win ce 4.2 without drivers. I think this will be the easiest way for me. The orinoco card i can use in one of my old macs with system9.2 as wireless card. usedhandhelds.com wrote it works with wpa on win ce4.2

Yeah, that's a great use for them! :) Much more affordable than that Airport wireless card.. Plus if you put OSX on it, I believe you can use WPA2, though OS9 is much better for older machines..

ok. Just wanted to rule out the simplest possibility.

There are a couple of alternative browsers that you might try at http://hpcmonex.net/izemize.htm

Trial and error might produce an understanding of the problem. If an alternative browser works, then the problem is with IE. If not, then the problem MIGHT be elsewhere. You might have to set your date back (to mid-2008?) to make Opera work.

Have a look at this thread as well. It may contain the solution to your problem: Another 900c Wifi Problem Thread

Mindhunter, if you have the same problem again with the new card, you might want to look at this thread: http://www.hpcfactor.com/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=16246&posts=6&start=1

OK. Thank you. I had last week when i tried the orinoco card, first disabled the proxy settings also. Now i remember that i didn't see the dhcp settings. They must set automatic. I hope i get this week my other card, I will try it again and tell you if it works. When i didn#t get automatic the dhcp settings, i can set it manual? I think then it must be works....

Yes, you can disable DHCP and specify an IP address. This has been the solution for some others here too. Hope it proves to be in your case.

Hi there. last week i got my linksys wireless card from usedhandhelds.com. And a instruction guide for the install on the nec900. I had install the DLL in the windows file case. And set a hook (like the guide) at internet options to use a LAN connect. I change my encryption to wep 128 ascii128, give a manuel ip adress to have a constant network connect. ok, so i am connect to my network, but internet explorer can't display a page!!! like the other wireless card(orinoco), I think i get mad..... I had tried all so many times, no connect with internet. I mailed the problem to usedhandhelds com, i wait for respond.... the only problem i had see in the in the instruction is, when you had copy the dll file to windows file and you connect the wireless card in the slot , must come a pop-up screen and who ask wich card is in...to write the dll's name in. This pop-up screen don't come, I think the card will be know by win ce 4.2. Okay any help here? Specialists welcome!! Thank you!
