I hate to be asking, kinda feels like I shouldn't waste the space. But hey, I'm doing it anyways.

I need a journal or diary program for my MP900c. I've found a couple which I'll try tomorrow, but have my doubts. Does anyone know of any such software? Especially interested if they're free and have password protection.

I could just use pocket word and save them to a folder, but I like keeping things nice and clean and usually these journal/diary programs does that.

If I were going to keep a diary on my hpc, something I didn't want people to read...I would simply use the built in Pocket Word program and then encrypt the files with one of the many programs available so others couldn't access it, and even if they did, without knowing the encryption key, they couldn't look at it.

Would this be what you're looking for, SOLIDUS?

http://www.freewareppc.com/database/note2day.shtml

I found this one a long time ago, and confirmed that it works on a core CE device with .NET CF 2.0 SP2 (2.0.7045) or later installed. (You do need to press the Enter key a couple of times before typing in anything if you want it fully visible, because like with all .NET CF apps written for Pocket PCs/Smartphones, the core CE menu bar covers part of the application interface. ) See this thread if you have .NET CF 3.5 installed and you get the "This application requires a newer version of the .NET Compact Framework . . ." error message:

Another one that might better suit your needs is TaurSoft's AnyNotes, though it's shareware (and requires note_prj.dll):

http://www.anynotes.com/pocket.htm

Then there's Noterrific, which is free (and requires .NET CF 1.0, which should be already on your device):

http://www.freewareppc.com/database/noterrific.shtml

Still another one is DKDiary, which is also free and also requires .NET CF 1.0:

Wait - there's more.

AgileNotes is another cool app that looks even cooler on the big screen:

That AgileNotes looks nice, I just reflashed my MP900 to Cmonex's rom. I'm hoping this will run it well as it didn't fair to well on the stock .Net.
