Why? I mean they already run CE5, or at least a hybrid of it and Linux don't they? The built in hardware drivers only support download of DRM protected steaming video. What are you trying to do with them?

I would like to get a proper Windows ce 5.0 desktop to use them like a windows ce computer instead of a DVR on my TV I have extra boxes (from old house) att said we should throw out (but i couldn't do that) so I figured I would put windows ce on them.

You mean only racy videos are supported?

Thecatmilton, doing what you want to do requires executing explorer.exe. This in turn requires that explorer.exe is present on the device, and then you'd need to either a) get some other file explorer to autorun from a memory card or USB drive - assuming the box has port(s) for one or both of these; or b) access the registry remotely from a host PC (only possible through ActiveSync AFAIK) to edit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/init to include a LaunchXX value for explorer.exe.

Sure - all you need is an OS image specifically compatible with the box, and a method to transmit files to be flashed onto the box.

That's the problem - they're not available anywhere we're aware of.
