Here is another one for you students to use...a simple flashcard study program. You will need the VisualCE runtimes from the post above...and then just copy this VCE app to the same folder. Nothing spectacular...the program reads the first item in the database and then the next...and continues sequentially until it gets to the end of the database. You can add new questions by CTRL-N. You can delete old questions and answers as well. If you use the export or import command, you could actually just import text files completed by notepad...anyways, feel free to play with it as I continue to learn how to use VisualCE.

Does it have an xml parser API?

You could connect your HPC Database to the hpcfactor.com D&S one if it did.

I know absolutely nothing about databases....however, the manual says this:

Downloading a Table from an ODBC-Enabled Application on the Desktop PC: If you have a table on the desktop PC that was created with an ODBC-enabled
application—such as Microsoft Access, FoxPro, or Excel—you can download it (and any records it contains) to the CE device, and quickly create a Visual CE application for it. For your convenience, the download procedure also includes optional steps for establishing synchronization between the two tables.

Then it goes on to explain how to do it step-by-step....

lol, couldn't let you have ODBC access to it I'm afraid it would require punching way too much through the firewall. If you can do a HTTP GET against an .XML file you could pull the data from the database. I'd have to write a quick XML export handler for it but that wouldn't take much time
<xml?>
<handheldpc>
<oem name="NEC" website="http://www.necsam.com/" />
<device>
<cpu type="XScale" freq="400" bus="32" />
<ram size="64" />
... etc etc
</device>
</handheldpc>
</xml>

I think it would be a lot simpler to just have you export the database to a comma delimited file and let me import it from there....that I can understand.

No you can't, but once done there won't be any real need for constant updates, and it is pretty simple to just add the occasion new device...

You mean you don't see the HPC market as a thriving, living dynamic beast with hourly changes? For shame!
