OK.....did all that and I have the driver on the cf card...but my 780 wont open it...says setup.exe isnt a windows ce program, and the other cab. files wont do anything...PLEASE HELP....im ready to sling this thing aginst the wall...lol

You don't have the driver on the CF card. That's the installer. Connect the 780 to your PC using ActiveSync and run setup.exe on the PC. That will install the driver on the 780.

So I still need that cord? I thought I was not needing that since I got the cf card to transfer the driver...WTF...lol

No, you don't need the sync cable, that is just the simplest method. You can just copy the cab file to the CF card and install it from there. Just run the file on your desktop, and then find the folder where the program installed to. Look for the proper cab file for your device, it will be named something like MIP or 4000, something like that.

Copy it to the CF card and then insert it into your Mobilepro and tap on it to install it.

My computer wont open it or install it...it says I need windows ce or later to run it....? It has win.7....I am so close ...this sucks

There should be a ZIP file inside the folder called Inflated.zip. Open that, and you'll find the CABs inside. Copy the one named wireless.R4000.CAB onto the CF card. Then run that CAB file on the 780 to install the driver.
