With a CF-to-SD adapter and then an SD-to-MicroSD adapter?

Nice. You should elaborate on how it works on J720.

I tried some tests.

Then J720 and J680 can work with MicroSDHC adoptor.

Thanks. Good to know.

I guess so CF to SDHC adapter then to SDHC to microSDHC then.

I haven't thought of that.

I realise this is an old thread but the OP says a CF to SDHC adapter worked in the J720.
I don't see any such adapters that work in hpcpro or hpc2000 in HCL. I have a cheap Qumox SD SDHC SDXC To CF Compact Flash adapter from amazon which is seen in the j720 and it offers to format but fails. Just to note I was using a 2GB sdcard in the adapter (not sdhc)
It would be good to know which CF to SDHC adapter worked.

Most of the recent Qumox CF to SD card adapters are defective! Over a year ago about 30% failed and gave the "offer to format." ArchiMark and I tried 5 about 8 months ago... and 100% failed.

The Digigear Slim Cf Adapter SDXCF1 costs a few bucks more but is close to 100% reliable. Here is a review from Amazon customer:

Using in two Canon 7D.
A year ago, I bought two of the red-colored SD/CF adapters that are sold here under several different names.
One of those two was all screwed up from the get-go, making Windows Explorer do all sorts of weird things when I tried it in the card reader.
The red one that I kept only works with about 25% of our many SD cards; brand-name and GB-size seem to have no bearing on this behavior.

It cost $16 last year... here is a recent link

(C:Amie: I can't get the ebay link 'box" to work... can you change it, thanks).
The Slim version is black and fits the Jornada.

regards,

Joval

Thanks for this info. I'll look out for the Digigear adapter.
gets a bit expensive when importing to UK from USA...around 30GBP so I may just buy a 32GB CF flash instead.

If you're looking for an option in the domestic UK, iFlash does sell a SD-CF adapter and has options for domestic delivery.

https://www.iflash.xyz/store/sdcf-adapter/

I use this adapter with my z50 and it works great; though I only have a 16GB card installed instead of a 32.

I'd appreciate the links to any on eBay that are known to work on J680/720

Ah, that's the same type I have .The red Qumox adapter. I think you got lucky that it works. It doesn't work in my J680 or J720 yet it does on my PC.
