Is there a way to copy one Jornada 720's complete configuration, software and files
to another device without having to duplicate the installing configuring all over again?

And for restoring the same device too.

If you perform a complete system and registry backup using a program such as bUseful backup, then you should be able to restore to another 720 and end up with a clone...

Though a few applications that use the device ID for ownership/software registration may not run.

You can do that with an ActiveSync backup too. I've done it many times.

That's what I have concerns about. But I'll give it a try.

I no longer use Windows on my PC, but I'll have a go using VirtualBox.

Thanks guys.
