Off of the UberCE7 post on the Tecknow website...and from there they tell me that the 8650 builds are totally incompatible with the 8850...so I am out of luck.

BTW, here it is for sale on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-1-inch-V712-Windows-CE-7-0-Notebook-WM88...

with CE already on it...

I've seen these far cheaper on alibaba.com. (That's where I got the second one.)

Seems the new fad now is cheapo netbooks with Atom processors in them...with Win 7 as the OS. I'm seeing them show up now, 13.3" for around $100. Check out one of them from a price list a retailer emailed me from Alibaba...how much you want to bet that is some pirated copy of Windows 7?

Yes I've thought the same thing about the proliferation of W7 netbooks from China...I'm sure they're pirated.

Very interesting, and would be very tempting at a lower price. I wonder how many apps come with CE7? I fear there are no additional apps available.

Rich, those cheap laptops don't come with Windows. They only say they support Windows XP/7.
