It has been quite some time since we had a review on the site, so it is great to start off again with one of our trademark flashback reviews - a review of a legacy device written from a modern stand point.

Rich Hawley delves into a seldom referenced Windows CE .net tablet device distributed by Aplux (amongst others) as the E-Diginote TIM2C. How does a once $800 USD, now far less, largely unknown tablet from eBay compare with the historic leviathan that is the SIMpad?

Read the review and have your say here on the forums.

6000 mah battery is rather impressive. Also, as I am writing this, the review is not listed in the reviews section.

It's a shame the device didn't make it in the market...I really like it. But the old APlux site has one of those robots.txt things that prevented the Wayback Machine from saving it, and the Webdyn site didn't ever have anything that I could find on it, even way back when they were carrying it.

I think we have more info on it here at HPCFactor than anywhere else in the world...wish I could find another battery...might just have to try to find one that I can mod to fit in place...

Love Opera mini on this thing. If I use the old IE, and visit this website, I can only "elcome to HPC:Factor"....

BTW: Big thanks to Isotherm for his earlier post on his kitchen tablet and Opera....I needed those SSLs to make it run on my CE.NET as well...
