Hello,

do you know a barcode scanning software for a Windows ce device(PDA)?
I have bought a neutral PDA with ce 6.0 system(Samsung S3C6410 chip), but there isn't a scanning software!
Could you help me ?

Thanks
Kevin

It depends what you mean by scanning software. Barcode scanners are seen by the OS as keyboard input devices, so should just work.

For example, open word pad and scan, it should write out the barcode.

As for what you DO with the barcode, that is a different question. What is your line of business?

Apparently it doesn't automatically input the number drawn from the scan into every application. There's a CE program called DataWedge that is supposed to fill the gap:

I assume, though, that it's not the driver to enable the scanner that you're looking for. If the scanner is built-in or is an attachment that comes with the device, there should be a scanner driver installed already. My Wasp WPA1200s (CE 5.0), for example, come with a pre-installed driver that loads on startup.
