Hi ya all. Can I connect android tablet (samsung GT-P7500) and Jornada 720 to surfing folders between them, without routers. On android I downloading bigger files, then turn on a computer, copy to computer, next copy to CF card fo Jornada - yes it's boring and eat much my time. So can I get access from Jornada to android files to download them directly, and from adroid to my Jornada? I saw on YT movie when some guy had access to android files from Total Commander on Jornada. Is this possible, how to do it? Much thank for answer :-)

Perhaps he set his Android tablet up as an FTP server? Or perhaps he set up his wifi as an ad hoc link? I wonder how he did it...

Easy to do. W/ Android's My FTPServer, for example, it sets up the phone as an ftp server, and TC/J720 finds it without complaint.

Edit: Ah, wait a minute. Without routers? That, I don't know.

If you have a PC you can use AndSMB and Windows CE explorer to browse a SMB share (\\server\share) and exchange files that way.

FTP as people have said. Even a small local web server to browse/download files from one device to the other might do the trick.

Bluetooth Obex exchange if you have a capable BT adapter for the 720.

Okay, I did it without a router. This assumes your Android is rooted and you have a data connection (3G, etc). Install Barnacle Wifi Tether on phone. Set up Barnacle as ad-hoc; set up ad hoc profile with Barnacle in J-720. Barnacle will work with data connection rather than wifi. Then use "My FTPServer" or some other Android ftp server app on phone; set up new ftp connection in Total Commander. From there, you can swap files with phone's sd card. Maybe with phone's Main Memory too, but I didn't try.

I see you're in Poland and European carriers are less picky than US carriers, so you may be able to tether without root. My stock Android tether will not work with TMoble. But you should root, anyway

Isn't there a way of creating simple adhoc network in Android? I am surprised.

AndSMB requires WiFi and access to a SMB share, if you are in a state to FTP you can use it too.

In the video I suspect that the issue isn't so much javascript as it is lack of MSXML with support for XmlHttpRequest in making the keyboard work.

He/she is definitely using FTP to do it in the video.

To use AndSmb you will need a pc, mac or Linux system sharing a folder using the smb protocol.

Assuming the Pc hostname is mypc and you can the share myshare

On Ce access \\mypc\myshare and log in as per http://www.hpcfactor.com/support/cesd/c/0006.asp

Do the same using AndSmb and you can share
