| Hi everyone I have been trying to buy and setup of ebay a number of wifi cards for my mobile pro, love the device now it has the cmonex, and yes I am very old and late to the party, probably by about 5 years!!!
Anyway I had a Cisco Aironet 350, but the ACU.exe will not open properly so can't set this up. I tried the Truemobile 1150 with the agree cab file which will load but the card will not pick up WPA.
So to save me more expense, I could do with knowing what people out there use with their machine, whilst connecting to a WPA wireless.
Your advice and thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |

| Most people do not use WPA with they CE 4.2 and older handhelds...
While CE 4.2 supports WPA, most of the old wifi cards do not. |

| Thanks for the rely Rich, I was under the impression this would be fine. Do you have any idea of a card that works on wep? |

| Most all the cards work on WEP, i.e. your Cisco 350 works fine with WEP. WPA is another thing entirely...and forget the ACU...not needed, just use the built-in CE tool to set your WEP key... |

| Thanks the 350 does work when I had the basic ce.net 4.2 but when I put on the cmonex v2 rom, the card software acu.exe will load, but the box is so small you can't see it, so I can't log on.
I have searched all over the net and found nothing, i mean lots of questions about it, but it seems no solution, well not now anyway... |

| It will most likely be due to it inadvertently loaded an incompatible shell stub I suspect.
The only way to fix it quickly would be to identify the DLL and copy a working one next to the cisco .exe. |

| Sounds like you got the pocketpc driver version. You would need to use Winwatch to open the windows so that you could see it. However, with that said, try the attached file and see if that doesn't correct your problem... Attachments ---------------- CiscoCENET_SA_a.cab (1664KB - 6 downloads) |

| The card supports WPA, but that doesn't mean the operating system does... |
